    There is no thinking. It's backlinks. Nothing else.
    But that does not mean every backlink is counted the
    same.

    hi mate, good questions and at the same time, very controversial as there is no a wide consensus on this matter.. but im sure the most important ranking factor are baclinks and above all.. those with high pr..but another elements like the domain age..the frequency of content updating or traffic.. really counts as well!! so a quick start quide would be:

    1 building backlinks on a fairly regular basis.
    2 - just pick a old-aged domain name if you can
    3 - consider to update content w/ targeted keywords within it.. and in the title
    4 - bringing traffic to your site for it to get popular even faster!!

    Content and link both are important to get high traffic.Without quality link you can not get high traffic and also unique content is play very important part to get high traffic.

    Everyone is saying links...that is true, but with the recent Penguin lurking around, its not just any links. It is links that are relevant to what your site is about. You can have 20,000 backlinks, but if none of them are relevant to your site, then they are bogus and not counted.

      Why do people not read the OP? The question is on PR.
      Plain and simple. Only backlinks. That's it. Nothing else.
      We are not talking about ranking a page if the question
      is on PR. Yet, cargo repliers just don't read. Classic case
      of what Yukon was talkin' 'bout.

      Now you can discuss what kinds of backlinks raise PR.
      That's a morphing of the thread. If you you want to
      morph it, go ahead. But the OP's question has been
      answered.

      After looking at the title again, I see why people are
      mixed up, "high pr rank." Makes no sense. I'm not
