CJ advertiser wants ad on my site

A CJ advertiser is asking to have a banner put above the fold on my site. They are asking what I want in return. I have no idea what to ask for.
My site has monthly:
Visits: 60,308
Unique Visitors: 47,043
The traffic is well targeted too. Sort of. I provide free lessons, but I use equipment such as this advertiser sells. I try to promote their products in my lessons, but conversion are still not very good.
Since I am an affiliate, I currently get 6% commission. Conversion rate has been quite poor, but perhaps there are ways to improve on that.
They are considering creating a "vanity code" withy my website name, so that I can promote that on my end.
I was thinking perhaps I should ask for a higher commission? 10%?
Any ideas would be very welcome.
