Adwords - Company Account

Hello,

Like many, I was banned from Google Adwords a while ago after promoting affiliate products. I was young, naive, and didn't have a proper business plan. I followed the common 'lazy man' methods of marketing passed down by the generations of affiliate marketers. And I was deservedly suspended at the time.

Now, I am back, a little wiser and armed with a proper long-term business plan. Proper products. I am going to register a real company. My question is, will the Adwords ban always haunt me? Can I register the new company for an Adwords account? I'm assuming I will need to link my name to a business credit card, which Google may not allow.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Adwords is a major part of the business model, I need to get back in the game. I need to know if Google will let me play in their sandpit.

Thanks,
Brett

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I've been there, done that. They've been suspending accounts to investigate billing info. If something doesn't match you're gone. Prepaid cards are not the answer.

New company, New tax id, new address, new person listed, new IP, just to be safe.

They will try to track any crumbs you leave!

+ new computer and he can never promote the same websites/urls as before and he can't even use the computer for anything else than adwords!!! Google knows everything these days and so many companies are owned by google, its crazy...one bad log in with your real name to some website and they ban you again. They even check your searches, everything! So a new computer and only use it for adwords, nothing else!

If they found you using similar information like what you have used before, definitely they won't allow you, because always think that you will always do what you did.

Purchase a pre-paid CC (not vcc).

Register it, under whatever you want.

          Buy a VPS.

          Create acct.

          Done.

Oh, and don't promote ANYTHING previously banned, or possibly linked to you (ie. youtube accounts, domain hosts, or whatever else).

Or use a cloaker (not personally experienced with these).

I was banned from fuking around with adwords last year (buying coupons).

Even after wanting to run a legit business, the Adwords algorithms and agents just give you the finger.

Why can't you do a simple bank transfer? Register company and register bank account for your company, then so bank transfer with you company name on it.

As you've found out, VCCs don't work to create new accounts. That's because the information you give Google (name, address, phone number...) must match the credit card. A real one. VCCs are not set up for that, although I think you can use one once you've opened an account and established yourself.

Concerning phone numbers, always give the one that the CC company has. I used to work in a call center and you won't believe the number of times someone's been denied because they give their work phone number (assuming the merchant will/should call there) that doesn't match the CC. Same with the address. I think some systems also get screwed up if you misspell stuff or use abbreviations (street vs st). Every bit of information you give the merchant must match exactly what the CC company has on file.

    >> My question is, will the Adwords ban always haunt me?

It might. But if you have a company credit card (company name on it, not yours) and use that when you open the account, you might be OK. They could always link back to you I guess if the address or phone number is the same as in the previous account. It's all speculation until you try and see what happens. Good luck.

Thanks Lucid, that helps me out. VCC's were a headache to use, constant account suspensions for billing reviews and ultimately a permanent ban.

I like the idea of a company credit card/bank account. But all of the company credit cards I have seen require a name on the card as well
