SEO For Daily Deal List Site

I have a site which lists all the daily deal sites in a certain country. Since it's an extremely broad site, I'm not sure what the topics should be for my articles; or what sites to get backlinks from.

I'm trying to stray away from getting backlinks from sites that are irrelevant, but what IS relevant for a daily deals list site? It covers everything from food to electronics to pet food to manicure deals.

EDIT: Just to clarify. I do NOT sell products, I simply list the daily deal sites.

    First off, help focus the world of deal opportunities down to the ones in your target country. Finding who are the merchants in your area who offer deals is number 1.

    Then, Publish, publish, publish! Unique posts 1, 2, 3 each day that are relevant to your target market will create 300 to 1200 posts in 1 year. For many small countries, this could be enough to become the authority site for deals in your country.

    Then, keep going! Back links will sort themselves out over time.

      All the daily deals on my list are in my country (New Zealand).
      I'm happy to write until my fingers fall off, it's just that my website has such a large target market that I feel the big G will not favour my broad range of articles.

      Could you give a few possible article titles?

    In my opinion, SMO is the best option for your website promotion and attract targeted audience. Writing low quality article is easy but it hardly give you any SEO benefits. So you should write selected by useful & informative articles. But yes you can easily share your daily deals on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and so on for building your brand and attracting buyers.
