I'm ranking nowhere!? Why????

Hi guys -- I'm really confused here.

Above shows you my stats in market samurai - My url is the top one -- It's a 9 year old site, it's got loads of content, the keyword is in the URL, Description, title tags, etc.

BUT -- it's not in Google at all!

If you look at the competition - I've got a PR1 - the others have zero. I've got more backlinks then some.

At worst -- i'd expect to be on page 2.

Can anyone offer things for me to try -- or look at for this.

Maybe my domain was backlisted by google?

Maybe i'm sandboxed? (2 year old site?)

Maybe google thinks my links are spam?

I'm using wordpress -- maybe I've messed up something in there that makes google hate my site?

(I don't know how to check any of the above -- they are just ideas I've thought of)

Any advice on all on what I can check -- and what I could do to fix the problem.

Thanks so much!!!

May be you are under penalty??

Have you checked site:yoursite.com - Are you able to see your site pages for that search? If so, you are safe, otherwise, you may be under penalty... anyhow, let us know your url..

I get 465 results when I try that -- thanks Jimerson Farveez

    So i'm guessing that's ok??

Is there anything I can check in webmaster tools - or any other tips I can try?

    Thanks again for the help!

It could be literally hundreds of things: Panda penalty, sandbox, your keyword is too tough, not enough links, duplicate content etc.

I'd like to help you out but impossible to give actionable advice with the MS screenshot alone.

When you try the method outlined above by Jimerson Farveez make sure your homepage shows up in the results. There have been cases of the root domain being penalized while the inner pages are fine.

Unless you have been sent a message in webmaster tools about a penalty then i'm not sure there is anything else to check there.

Just something to check - If you log in to the wordpress admin for your site then go to Settings>Reading settings there is a box that says "Discourage search engines from indexing this site". Just check this is not ticked.

Was your site ranking well before or are you working towards getting it ranked highly in the SERPs?

This is a great question. Were you ranking before and now you are no where to be found?

You need to post the URL or the KW before anyone can help you.

I had encountered similar case and there are two possibilities

    1. SandBoxed
    2. Google Algorithm change penalized your site!

There are a lot more than just these two possibilities!

Backlinko was spot on with this:

You input your site on Add Custom URLs...

And it caught you big time!

The regular results on Market Samurai's SEO Competion Tab will show 10 Sites/Pages since you added a custom URL it's now 11 and you rush yourself here asking this question! I'm ranking nowhere??? Why????

    Idiot!

Try this. Download Screaming Frog SEO spider (Google it). When you run it for the first time, enter your url, then change the setting to see HTML pages only. Make sure you have: unique titles and meta descriptions for all your pages, and unique H1s too. IF you do, then it's probably spammy backlinking. If you don't, then definitely work on that!

BLD 95,644. Doesn't that mean back links to domain? Not so familiar with Market Samurai.

So a PR1 site with 95k back links, heck that must be one great bunch of spam that you got pointed at your site so no wonder that it doesn't rank.

Then we have 5500 indexed pages. You sure that's all unique content or are we talking about some auto-scraped site here?

Either way those stats alone should be enough for Google to say this is a site that shouldn't rank as there is not a single legit site to find that has 95k links and only PR1

I am afraid that you made some quick low-quality backlinks recently, that could be a reason. These days quick link building is not working.
Only domain is not enough to hold the ranking. Quality backlinks is most important.
