Help! Need help with Google

Help! I can write well enough to get on the first page of google, problem is I only come up if you search in quotes? What am I doing wrong? For example, I come up on the first page for the term "buy cell phones online" but yet I'm not on the front page for that same term without quotes?

    Sounds like your page is optimized but ... you lack backlinks with that phrase.

    reapr is correct. You need backlinks. Try a bookmarking cloud around your original site or having your stuff put somewhere else, like blog, or articles or ezines linking back to your original site. Dont I repeat DONT link from 1 page back to your original and back to the first page. If that makes sense. Google does not like that.
