SEO Advice Following Recent Relaunch

Hey guys,

In April we relaunched our gaming website with a new theme and changes to all content. During the transition we did experience long periods of downtime (27 hours) and small periods after that following poor host choice (3-4 hours in a week).

Since then our SERPs have been so random, I'm at a loss. A lot of our old articles dropped off Google completely while others remained in the exact position. However, it's our newer articles that are more important and the most confusing.

I've been running the website almost 4 years and we target long-tail keywords for new video-game launches. I've noticed a very frequent pattern in this time but that has now changed drastically.

Here is an article we wrote 1-2 days after launching the site: How To Remove Statues in Dark Souls 2

That was indexed and went straight to 1.2 for targeted keywords. Just like our articles did previously.

However, new articles are now not behaving in the same way. This is an article we wrote on launch day of a new game - Wolfenstein The New Order Wyatt Or Fergus?

Previously we would have featured on the first page of Google almost guaranteed. However, we're nowhere to be found. Even when searching for the exact title of the article, I cannot locate it on Google.

We've got a very big opportunity next week and I'm really hoping to diagnose the problems before then. Any help would be very much appreciated.
