I can drive a webpage up in rankings with just adding lots of good links.

I can add Facebook likes until I'm blue in the face and the page won't move up the rankings.

That data proves nothing about social signals having an impact on rankings. It is a completely flawed way to look at it.

What it does not take into account is which came first, the social signals...
