Is Facebook Graph Search still working?

Hey all,

I want to search for people who have certain name, living in 1 area.

got some questions on Facebook Graph Searching:

1. Is this bannable for Facebook? I'm using FBleadJacker

2. I used it on a new acc, it gets stuck after ~72 leads (but search says over 1,000)

3. If it works for you guys, how are you guys doing it? I'm just afraid my main acc will get banned for something like this.

Thanks for the help.

Jacky

    Hi,

It is doable. I mean, you can get that data. But Facebook does not like you using such data for ads.

Not sure about the software you mention as I do not have it.

    Thanks

    Adam

PS... All you do Is search for people named "..." who live in .....

    Then extract the IDs.

Dont have this particular software however I can say for sure that if it uses the Graph API you will be fine. Facebooks API not only permits this type of search functionality, it actually provides the mechanism that makes it possible.

As long as the software uses the Graph API you will be fine, as brutecky says. However, if the software is scraping data through the search field on Facebook, it might be a different story...

Thanks, all it does is.. after I enter a search on the bar like "people who like dancing".. i click start it just does the scroll for me and record their UID.

If you have a better/safer way please let me know would love to hear it.

        Thanks

This is true, but I do not think that Facebook likes you to advertise based on user's names. May be wrong though.

Yea confirmed that you WILL get banned (which is stupid since they have the API here for you)

However looking at their graph API see if they will ban for using their very own website with no extra tools.. lol.

Just create a dummy account and use that when scraping from open graph to be safe! Also, there is this Facebook limitation where it only shows a portion of the actual search results. But it should be closed to around 60% to 80% of the actual search results. So you should be getting around 600 to 800 results out of 1,000.

Yea I am gonna do that I think.. however I need to learn how to mask my IP first since FB also bans for multiple acc on 1 comp.. THey are getting really annoying when we are just trying to find info of people who made it public anyway!
