Question about automatic posting to Facebook

You know how you can have people share a business, experience, deal, etc. where all they have to do is click a button to post a message formatted by the business/advertiser to their timeline? Not talking about sharing a Facebook post or just a link, but pre-formatted content including a message, a link, and an image.

I know you can do this by creating a Facebook App, but my question is if anyone knows if there is a more straight-forward way of doing it, or a way to just embed the desired message and content in a URL?

The links posted usually generate a image if it has any in the post. Why don't you use social media syndication? It will allow other people to post your links on their pages or news feed, groups, wherever you want them.

Thank you for your replies. Let me explain what we're trying to do here:

Some of you may be familiar with Passbook, but if not it's a digital pass with a graphic front and a text based back. Each pass can be distributed by via a URL. On the back of the pass you can include links to for example websites or social media accounts. What we are trying to do is to have a link on the back of the pass that when people click the link they are taken to Facebook where a message is shared stating something like: "I just got this cool offer from company XYZ. Scan the QR code or tap the link to get it too."

In other words, the link has to redirect them to their Facebook timeline, add the message, and a QR code and a URL for the pass. As mentioned, we know how to do this using a Facebook App, but wanted to ask if anyone would know of a different way to do it? Just trying to see if we can simplify the process.

Passbook is a separate 'entity', so a WP plugin would not work. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
