Should i use my free Facebook / Bing Advert Credit yet?

Hi Guys,

So I started a website (zimpaz.com) to go along with my youtube channel (youtube.com/zimpaz) just before christmas. My channel gets about 1300 views a day and my website between 10 and 20 (lol!). They are all about technology and i make reviews and tutorials mainly.

When I signed up through go daddy I got $50 of facebook and $100 of bing/yahoo advertisitng credit for free.

I am not planning on spending any money on any advertising any time in the future, so my question is...Should I use it now, or should I save it?

If you think i should use it...should i use it to advertise my website or youtube channel directly?

    You should use the free advertising to test keywords you are currently not using. That way you can test what type of videos you could possibly make in the future by using your free advertising money to wisely collect data about new people and keywords you could target.

    Ads provide isntant feedback and a good way to judge the viability of a market and specific keywords.

    You don't have to waste time making content, only to have it not be watched...

    If you have the credit, I think you can use that to see how it does. It might give a boost in your sales or earnings..... With facebook credit you will get a reputation and likes on your pages as well.

    I would suggest that before using the free credits, you should do the following:
    1. Create a Facebook page, brand it properly and fill the sections appropriately.
    2. Sign up on some autoresponder email marketing service like Aweber.
    3. Create a free e-book or any lead-magnet. Implement the mechanisms to present these lead-magnets in exchange of their emails
    4. Install FB targeting pixel code in your website that will help you in retargeting afterwards.
    5. Once done, start the advertisement and measure conversions.

    its a good idea to use that free credit to try out the ads to get a feel of what will work and what won't

    All of the above are great tips.

    Before you use the credit. The best advice I can give you is: learn how to do PPC and FB ads.

    I think you should build a page on Facebook, Share your videos on your page, and then advertise that. As in drive traffic from Facebook back to YouTube instead of directly promoting your channel. If you target right this will really help you a lot.

    Thanks guys. I have started a facebook like page for my channel and i have started posting there whenver i post a new video.

    Would it be best to promote that rather than my channel directly?

      Add call to action to your posts

      "Like Our Page for more Techi stuff"
      "Check out our Youtube for gadgets!"

      something like that

      Also see what is happening around you nowadays...what is the hottest coolest thing in your niche
      Make a post about it with an IMAGE or Video Clip , and if the image is either

      Funny
      Sensational
      Creative
      Relevant

      it can go viral with just $1
