I just heard of this fabulous facebook "dark post" secret all the crazy facebook gurus are using. And yet, I fail to see the difference between dark posts and PPE type of ads.

I just heard of this fabulous facebook "dark post" secret all the crazy facebook gurus are using. And yet, I fail to see the difference between dark posts and PPE type of ads.
The similarities:
- You can create news feed posts that are not posted on your page's timeline to your followers and are meant for different audiences
- You can split test audiences, images and text
The differences:
- You cannot publish a PPE post ad eventually
- I read that all split tested dark posts have the same engagement, which sounds like the only major difference I can think of
