Why don't you want to buy? Most paid advertising is the most effective. It's not like it will break the bank, so you should give it a try. OR, go the scenic route and market that page like crazy through word of mouth, media, or backlinking.

Target the right keywords on Facebook for your page and you'd be surprised at how cheap it can be to purchase advertising on FB.

I would suggest that if you want to monetize your FB page .. do not buy likes or from anything that gives you free likes. They are most likely bots and you with just a pretty page with no interactions. You can do that for say the first 500 fans - 1000 fans but eventually you'll have to get real fans. Post related contents and try FB ads. You can also try wall jacking to build up your real fan base slowly.

I think you should not get involved in any black hat trick which will allow facebook to ban your facebook page. I have seen people using softwares which help to increase the facebook likes. There are people using Macros to increase the likes but this results in facebook banning your facebook page.

Try using facebook ads with call-to-action strategy where you can divert people to your facebook page or your website and then people will click the like option and they complete the transaction, checkout or any other service which you are offering.

I had a successful strategy wherein I created ads with call-to-action such for diamond rings.

"Propose her with this diamond ring. Click 'like' to receive discount coupon code"

This really helped me. But the only concern is to know about the ad budget and pricing.

Ive been doing this for a while so let me give you what I personally know to be working.

First of all in Facebook, you DO want to purchase some fans. What you dont want to do is go ahead and buy 1,000 fans all at once, OR use thoes shitty like exchange sites...

You want to buy some fans (lets say 200 fans.. just to show that your page doesnt suck!).

A facebook page's success depends NOT on the # of likes it has, but on the inteeraction within that page.

Before i can offer you a real word of advice id really need to know what your page is about, but on random terms... here are a few things you cando.

Lets say you are promoting a website which sells yoga videos...

1) Select a Fanpage name that allows your audience to automatically understand what you do (such as ''FREEYOgAVIDEOS''. THEN: You can get a couple or make a couple of yoga videos that your audience will enjoy
2) (LOggED in as your fanpage, now you can go to facebook search and type in a term such as "yoga training, or Yoga".. then before clicking enter or search, browse your mouse over to the right of the search bar where it displays that little magnifying glass icon and click on it.
3) on the left hand side it should now show you various different things that you can search for inside of facebook for your keyword "yoga training or yoga". YOU want to select to seearch ONLY for other pages...
4) When you have selected that, Facebook will now list you an entire page of different pages that have the keywords "yoga" inside. So start visiting those pages and interacting wth that content. Answer posts, Comment on the posts already made and so on...

***WHY THIS STRATEgY WORKS***

Well unlike spamming, what this strategy will do is twot hings:

A) when someone is a fan of yoga videos, and that fan then sees a comment on a yoga page that says FREE YOgA VIDEOS then dont you think they will click through to your page to see what you are all about? BOOM , NEW FAN!!!
B) if unlike most people who use this strategy and spam other pages, you actually add REAL value with insights and such... then the moderators of that fanpage mightt even contact you and even offer to promote you while you promote them (cross promotion).


Thats just 1 strategy you can use, it is totaly free, and not black hat.

I personally have just reached 10,000 Likes on a facebook page I started in September 2011.

Launch a Facebook Contest of your fan page, and share it in Facebook groups. Tell me to join the contest and they can win something.

You will certainly get a lot of exposure.

I agree, you can make a facebook contest where they can get some freebies or recommend your page to your friends and tell them to also recommend it.

I got the vast majority of my likes from my blog. It took way too long to develop, because I did not focus on fans at all, but I just hit 1,000 fans. If I focused on Fans earlier I probably would have close to 3-5K fans.

Your posts will have to be timeworthy and catchy. Make sure you are posting on current topics.
