What makes twitter work for you?

I tried to include more visual, like pictures in my tweets. Sometimes I tweet about something funny, not necessarily related to what my company does, this way I close up the relationship with my followers.

I'm sharing forum posts on my Twitter account and it's very effective to get traffic from there. Also I followed people in same my niches. That's basic things I doing.

Twitter is surprising my biggest social referrer of traffic to my social media blog. Although Google+ is following closely behind in second.

I try to have a balanced content strategy. I share other quality content that I've mostly read/commented on and that's related to social media - this strengthens relationships with other content creators.

I share all my social media articles and tutorials - I usually write variations of each key article and schedule them in throughout the week.

I proactively look to find new targeted connections and influencers. And most importantly, I engage continuously and responsively.

I have several Twitter accounts. For my journalist account, I maintain regular "call out" tweets where I blow the whistle or alert of others who have on pseudoscience. I also offer regular tips for others in my profession. For my erotica author account, I talk about my writing projects often. On my IMer/PLR account, I offer a lot of business tips. My audience and my goals really dictate the content on each account.

On all of my accounts, I inject my personality and maintain a sort of ongoing rhythm each day.

This works for me, as in the accounts for visibility gain such, and the accounts for getting clients also work out well for me.

I try to be very active. I like to favorite tweets and retweets. I also like to follow others in the same niche as me. I reply to anyone who mentions my name. I try to tweet a lot during the day and late at night. Have you ever heard of hootsuite? You can schedule your tweets with hootsuite and it's great if you're not going to be online at certain times during the day.

Twitter is a good place to stir up controversy. And, easy to get retweets when you do that too. Twitter is instant and live and most people are checking it for minute by minute updates.

I find Twitter especially effective when I have written a post that refers to the work of influencers. Once the post is published, I notify the people I have mentioned in the post and this invariably results in them tweeting the post to their list. You can enjoy a real surge in traffic for the next week or so and of course a percentage of that traffic will often become your own Twitter follows and/or subscribe to your email list.

Twitter is one of the most important social media websites out there, first of all you need to get followers that are interested in what you are offering, then you need to engage with your followers and other famous people on your niche by retweeting their tweets, now when you want to post a tweet you need to schedule the same tweet to be posted multiple times at the times your most followers are online, there is many tools that let you know when it's best to tweet.

Twitter does not work for me and I do not use it. Thousands of people keep sending all kinds of messages – who is reading whose Tweet?

It is just a trick used by people to sell stuff related to Twitter and say that Twitter works for them – the sellers make the money.

But they are not making it by Tweeting – they are posting in forums and other places online and making that moolah.

And all in the name of Twitter.

Twitter is what it is, some make it work others just send nothing more then spam messages, most on twitter never read their messages.

Twitter for me is more of an engaging process, takes time effort, and sometimes it provides me with results.

Seriously, for anyone that has a blog, or any sort of website that you frequently update start using triberr if you already don't.

That site is great for getting people to share your stuff as well as driving a TON of traffic to your website.

1. Define Market
Your tweets won't work in a scattered community. Identify your audience and engage with them.
2. Follow others
Following others will help you get more followers. You will also have to follow the right people or brands. Three types of people you should be following are Potential Clients, People who will spread your message and your rivals.
3. Test
Test and experiment with different techniques and strategies. You will be learning at the same time finding out what works best for you.
