Need Advice on Promoting our ecommerce store

We have recently created an eCommerce store (Invented4You) and need advice on which social media platforms are the best for promoting our type of products.

**Background Information**
The store is related to fun inventions, gadgets and products that have a high shareability ratio. It is meant to be the lighthearted part of our Patent and Invention website.

For an example of our products... here's one that has done well:
Superman Pet Costume

We are already active on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. What other social media sites would really help to get our type of products out there? Can anyone think of a reason to focus on one specific site more than another? Personally we have found that Pinterest works really well for us.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would focus on Facebook ads. I can see you have lots of categories for your online store.

    Example: Gadgets -> iPhone

Use Facebook ads -> Target people who likes iPhone in your area -> Use Facebook Offer/Discounts.

Targeting the right customer will get you $$$ and traffic for your site.

I have a dog accessories niche and I'm using Facebook ads --> Power Editor --> Extract FB users from Dog Pages and Dog Groups using SLF and so far i'm making good traffic for affiliated dog site and make $$$ at the same time.

    Good luck!

You should also find and put your links to classified sites, ecommerce niche blogs & discussions, and try to participate in product reviews websites which can bring a great amount of traffic to websites and you can also look for the business & ecommerce directories !

Hm. Well, I had a look at your website. I browsed around it and I found more than a few things which I think could use some attention.

    1) You have to decide where your focus is going to be. On your patent services or on the shop. While I can understand why you are trying to merge the two, keep in mind that you are essentially reaching out to two completely different audiences.

I am not saying that you cannot include the shop or a link to the shop on the Noroip website. I just don't think that it should have such a central focus as it does now. Likewise, if you want to have a shop, Noroip services should not be the central focus. This only confuses your audience.

    2) You need to work on the website in general --- design, color scheme, logo... it all needs to be brought up to 2014 standards.

    3) I think you have lots of good content, but it's not being presented as effectively as it should be. Also, the last blog post was in Aug. 2013... personally, this shows me that you've been very busy, with very little time left to maintain your blog. It's not a bad thing because the information is useful and all, but search engines will love you more if you consistently update your content.

    4) As far as Social goes, each profile should be used for a specific purpose... in other words, avoid using the same content across all social networks. For example, Google+ could be where you share your IP news... (you can remove that from your site because this content will lead right back to it either way, so it's fine); Twitter for Q&A; LinkedIn for, obviously, business/lead gen and Youtube for your videos (which by the way, need to be upgraded). Although FB is still a powerful medium, you need to asses whether or not it is relevant to your business.

    5) Obviously, your main money maker is the Patenting services so I suggest you remove the shop from the menu, put it somewhere else with less emphasis and if you can, market the shop separately, using a different URL. You can obtain a cool domain for really cheap these days and there are so many new TLD's to choose from that I am absolutely certain you can find a great domain for the shop.

The main products on display should be the most interesting or otherwise hottest sellers and of course, that site should be optimized for maximum conversions.

It's late, otherwise, I'd keep going. I hope it helps

Do not add social media again.
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest is more than enough.
Now you can evaluate which of the four social media that works well and then focus on it.
