You could always try weight loss, vacations, or education.

What are you most interested in? Start with something you really know well. When you aren't working or building a business, what do you do?

Play games? Carpentry? Welding? Gardening? Read books? Listen to self-help tapes? Pick up women?

Start there and your job will be 100 times easier.

Try to make money while at the same time bulding your list on facebook.

There used to a CPA offer which was a calorie counter that paid about a dollar for every download. If you target people trying to lose weight you can advertise giving away that calorie counter so you'll make money and you're building your list at the same time.

I don't think that CPA offer is still available, but check out offervault.com and use your imagination.

Top 3 niches are making money online (or anything that will make people debt free), health and fitness, and relationships.

Best way is do it manually because I tried Fb ad but no more effective.
I tried with my effort in 3 weeks and get around 2000 internet marketers, 1000 likes and any sales from Facebook.
So I suggest you try to make more connections before joining fb ad

Target people aged 30 and you will get responsive results, in some niches but other niches you can target from 25 to 35 . it deponds on the niche.

You're going at this thing backwards. You'll never see a successful company saying "I'm going to buy an ad in USA Today, so what should I advertise?"

Find the group of people you want to serve, as specifically as you can. Then worry about how to reasch those people.

      And just for the record...

Health, wealth and relationships are not niches. They are huge markets with dozens or hundreds of niche groups under the umbrella. Aim at the big umbrella, and you might as well take your ad budget and buy lottery tickets. Your odds of success will be better.

This. If you don't have the ability to invent a product or service (i.e engineering), you need to find an under-served market.

So you're saying it's too early to start facebook ppc? What other methods do you suggest me to use to get opt-ins?

It sure sounds like it to me.

Do you have any clue what you want people to opt-in to, or where you want to take them once you do?

Traffic sources, free or paid, are one of the last steps to consider.

Pick a market, then decide on a narrow niche within that market. For example, if you wanted to do something in the health market, start there and niche it down:

      > Health
      > Weight loss
      > Middle aged men
      > Heart attack survivors

Do the research. What are their hot buttons? What keeps them from dropping the pounds? What can you offer them that gets them past that?

Next, figure out how you want to reach them. Where do they hang out? What else are they interested in? How would losing the weight help them enjoy that more?

What's your hook? An ecourse, videos, pdf download, newsletter, some combination? Why should they opt in?

Now you are finally ready to start thinking about traffic sources. How are you going to catch their attention and lead them to your offer?

      You mentioned FB PPC.

With your research in hand, look at the ad options and tailor your ads and where they show to your ideal customer. You'll be setting up a campaign based on knowledge of the market and your ideal customer, as opposed to simply throwing money away on an untargeted campaign.
