The Introduction section from Page 4-10 goes over the 'proof' of his strategy. He shows you many examples and various case studies, along with various facts to back up what he's saying.

One of the strongest point he mentions is regarding 'competition' within the html vertical. Basically, he's saying that with Google Universal Search results, there are sneaky ways to get rankings even for very competitive terms.

Alright now I'm gonna go through and give you a summary of each of the chapters in the table of contents...

Keyword Mind Dump, Keyword Analysis & Vertical Trigger Analysis

Pages 10-26 cover keyword research and analysis in really good detail. Its straight to the point and shows you clear screenshots of the exact software you'll be using to do your research.

Instead of boring you with a lot of different approaches, he nails down one approach for you to follow...which means that you'll be able to get your research and analysis done much quicker.

This is the key to choosing keywords that you know you can rank and dominate for. Skipping this step will lead to a lot of frustration, and since he simplifies the process for you, there's no excuse not to follow it!

The Vertical Trigger Analysis helps you determine how you should attack Google for your chosen keyword. Its all about looking at the actual search results and deciding what kind of content you want to throw out there and rank fast.

HTML / Web Trigger Optimization (Pages 26-41)

This is referring to the typical website that most marketers are trying to rank. It used to be that website dominated the Google search results, but now they only take up 30-50% of the search results on average...

Martin gives some good tips on how optimize your sites to have them rank, along with a few unique tactics that your competitors won't be following.

He also covers backlinking and simplifies it down to 1 solution and 1 method to follow, which helps cut through a lot of the confusion.

Video Trigger Optimization (Pages 41-73)

This is definitely my favorite part of this whole system...

Image Trigger Optimization (80-87)

Yahoo Answers and Google Groups present two of the best opportunities in this vertical, and Martin gives you 11 clear steps for getting high rankings using these sites (and other discussion sites as well).

Google Maps Trigger Optimization

This is most useful for local sites...

There are some good strategies here for getting your site to show up in the Maps results. This can help you land local clients and get them results much faster than trying to rank their websites...

Especially when combined with Videos and News results, you can really deliver some great results for local clients without the headaches of trying to rank their website.

Bonus Suite: WP Royalty Free Image Finder, Ping Update Services, SEO DOmination Diagrams

Alright so in addition to the main guide, Martin is also giving you a piece of software called the WP Royalty Free Image Finder, which helps you find images that you can use without copyright infringement...

Ping Update Services is a list of the pinging sites that give you backlinks. You can insert this list into your Wordpress dashboard and build backlinks automatically.

SEO Domination Diagrams give you a mindmap of the various strategies Martin covers and helps bring it all together in a visual way.


Ok, so now that you've seen what this system is all about, the real question is, what are the biggest benefits of using it?

The BIGGEST benefit of Google Topper, by far, is that it helps you get 2-3x the traffic from the same keyword by getting multiple listings on Page 1 of Google.

And another huge benefit is that you can effectively target more competitive terms and keywords while not having to worry about crazy Google updates/slaps.

Drawbacks of Google Topper 2.0 (What I Don't Like)

First off, Martin separates HTML sites and Blogs as being ranked separately in Google. This may have been true a few years ago, but now Google treats websites, whether built on html or Wordpress as basically being the same thing...

The exception to this is the 'freshness factor' of a blogpost. Since a blog has dates associated with the posts, there may be an advantage to having new and fresh content...which Google gives more credit to.

He's also not a big fan of 'nofollow' links, while I know for a fact that nofollow links definitely have an impact on rankings. Infact, not having any nofollow links can actually be an unnatural link profile signal, so its a good idea to build atleast some nofollow links to your web properties.

If you're targeting extremely competitive terms, the information in this guide is not really going to help you get ranked. In other words, don't think of this guide as a 'magic bullet' to rank for anything you want...it doesn't quite work that way. It'll still be very difficult to rank for really competitive keywords.

Lastly, Martin doesn't really cover choosing profitable niches and converting your traffic to sales...so its possible that you target the 'wrong' keywords and make little to no money. He does talk about 'buyer keywords' briefly, but its not enough to know how to make real money from the traffic that you're receiving.

Niche selection isn't really covered and yes the strategy can work for any keyword, although certain highly competitive keywords may be more difficult to rank for.
