Any Ebay Experts / Powersellers Here?

Hey Guys,

I have a friend who can get Two Types of
Merchandise

1 - Closeout Merchandise from different stores
like Best Buy etc.

2 - Merchandise manufactured in China. (He owns
a bunch of factories over in China)

If you are an Ebay Powerseller and can move
a lot of merchandise maybe we can do something
together

PM me and let me know

Jack

Jack, why not do it by yourself? If you are offering good products, why not just start an account and build a brand yourself. It would certainly work better from a cost perspective.

I was a powerseller for years and to be honest there wasn't a huge benefit. Ebay is one sided when it comes to selling. Maybe you should try to put a site together and sell everything yourself. Just a thought!

Well said. Amazon & eBay provide a usable service, but at the end of the month those commission payments really start to gnaw on you. One of my clients was paying 20k a month in fees to eBay. It wasn't even my business, and it made me cringe. Still, he did well above that in sales so arguably a trade off.

I also had an amazon store, and sold via ebay. I left amazon (reasons above) and went with my own host. Ended up saving a significant sum despite ssl and all the other back-end stuff. I had high quality supply at container prices, and built a powerful little retail niche that paid bills months in advance. The strategy offset any loss of visits / site sales I experienced by not being on amazon.

If there's a market, and if you have two people (marketing | shipping) to help; you can make money moving almost anything.

If the op delights, I'll share my experience via skype just to be a pal.
