Why Most Designers Needed Ai Support When Working Indesign????

I notice most designers especially print media or print book designers are
using inDesign are working together with illustration. Why they need AI support
that inDesign is already a vector. I'm just wondering why, I'm still learning
eBook design and I observe all designers. Why they needed illustrator.

    Indesign is awesome, I use it everyday (almost).

    Sure, you can do vectors but it's not with the same features/power of Illustrator.

    I guess you could just work only with Indesign for some vector work, but it's nice to use an outside asset that is in all likelihood, being used elsewhere.

    Also, most designers and/or devs that own Indesign likely own Illustrator & Photoshop as well.

    I can't see any reason why web designers should use InDesign if they have Illustrator or Photoshop installed on their device.
