New Wordpress Install - 404 errors?
I installed the latest 2.8.1 WP onto my own site ...
I have the following plugins installed/activated:
a) Askimat
b) All-in-One SEO pack v1.6.4
c) SI Captcha for WP v1.6.7
d) Easy Adsense v2.63
I have added no pages yet, but just edited the default About page.
Yet, anytime I try to view it, I get the 404 error page.
I created a test post under one category I set up.
Upon clicking on that Category, I also get the 404 error page.
My error logs state there is no /blog/about/ page ...
As far as I can tell, I have permissions wide open on all levels.
So, what can be causing these 404 errors?
What folders should have what permissions set?
EDIT: I did a quick edit on the site's index page ... and now the about page of the blog goes to the site's index page. Hmmmmm.
EDIT #2: Never mind, I fixed it. Went back under Settings and realized the trailing / was left off of the URL for the blog .... www.site.com/blog ... when it should have been www.site.com/blog/ ... That fixed it.
