Hi, I purchased a wordpress theme but I want to change the title. I've gone to theme editor but then I get lost. Any ideas or tutorials? Thanks, Jim |

Hi, Trying to change text. The link is not working because I am changing hosting. I guess I should have waited before I asked the question. The title is the Business Blog and I want to change that to the name of my blog. Thanks, Jim |

Hi, Jim. The theme editor should be the last resort for changing anything. Between WP settings, theme settings (if available), and plugin settings (all of them accessible through WP administration), you can usually accomplish simple changes like this. You mentioned that you purchased the theme. Most paid themes come with instructions and support. I would start there. Or tell us which theme you bought and exactly what you're wanting to change, and there will be a higher chance that someone here can help. (On a website the word "title" might be used to refer to several different elements.) Steve |

OK. Well, that whole heading, including the words "Business Blog" and "tagline for the business blog," is a graphics file at the following URL - http://www.theindexannuity.com/wp-co...mages/logo.jpg. The only way to change it is to change the JPG file. If the theme came with a PSD version of the logo file, you'll be able to edit the text easily using Photoshop or Gimp (a free alternative). Then you'll want to save it using the same name (logo.jpg) and upload it to the /wp-content/themes/super-adsense-biz/images/ folder. If you don't have the PSD file, then it's going to be a bit more difficult. You'll still have to use a program like Photoshop or Gimp. But you'll need to edit the JPG directly. You'll have to block out the existing text and then add new text layers with your own. Hope this helps. Steve |
