Need Help WP Theme Designs

I have been having trouble finding a WordPress Theme designer.

Basically here's the deal:

We have a site that will feature free and premium WordPress themes. We have been trying to hire a WP theme designer for a few weeks now. They all ask for 200-400 bucks per design, which is not preferable especially considering some of these will be going out for free and that we'll be cranking out loads at a time. Also, these designs will be mostly for their layout, not specific to any requirements or wants that we have (they get to be creative).

*I know we can just go scrape WP themes from other directories.

Is there no hope of finding WP theme developers for less that 200? Where should I look? Any advice.

Please no flames.

Well there is a lot of work that goes into developing wordpress themes. People don't work for peanuts now days and that even includes indian based companies. They know they can find clients who will pay more.

I understand you want to get them done cheap but chances are unless you find someone desperate for money or wanting to expand their own portfolio you will really have to do a lot of searching and wording your project correctly through an outsource agency like scriptlance or rentacoder. Any others will require way more.. but those 2 places you might be lucky to find someone.

You could try Artisteer - joomla template generator and wordpress theme generator, and create your own. Or check out there forums there may be someone there who can do it for you

You can try craigslist, backpage or kijiji to find workers for cheap.
