EBook Help

Hi Guys

I have an ebook thats converted to pdf , and I have organised covers etc.

I am also 75% nearing completion of my website which I've built through using Thirdsphere.

Although they are a little expensive on the hosting side their bleepsoft web building
software has been excellent and very easy to follow.

I have completed the main page of the site, plus the order page, and the download page.
Where I am having trouble is :-

1) How do I make my book available as a download ? ( because currently it's just sitting on my hard drive ?

2) Is there a way I can make the ebook cover the actual link to the download.i.e by clicking on the cover they get to the download page.

    Hey Roversierr,

    1) You can make it available as a download by uploading it via FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to your root directory. Make a folder called "downloads" or what have you and move it into that folder.

    2) Once the eBook cover image is on your page (in your web authoring program), click it and see if there is a field where you can enter a link ((or if you are using HTML it would be something like this:
    <a href="http://www.WHATEVERDOMAIN.com/downloads/WHATEVER.pdf">Download now</a> )) <-- for text based link

    You should then type in http://www.WHATEVERDOMAIN.com/downloads/WHATEVER.pdf so that it links the image to the PDF.

    What newyorktrader has recommended is perfectly alright If you looking to give away the ebook as a free download,, But In case you looking to make it availablle as a paid download than you can do it using a third party such as e-junkie or clickbank .. You can also use some thirrd party software (sorry but I can recall the name) which helps automate the process... and as soon as the User makes payment thru Paypal he is directed to the download page... Maybe some member here knows how thats done..Hope that helps!
