Hey guys,

is there any way to spy on a site in order to get to know which WP theme it is built upon??

I am planning my own site and stumbled upon some nice ones which inspire me and i want to emulate them as closely as possible...

There has to be some way!

Cheers

You don't have to "spy" - just learn about the right-click with your mouse

Right-click > show source > look for the line that calls for the stylesheet... it contains the name of the theme!

    Hi

That might be an option in source code may be it help you.

By looking comment code in source you find it out which WP theme it is based upon.

    Thanks

Good websites will often have a custom theme. Knowing the name of the theme might be of no use as it won't be available for sale or free download. You might have to get the design recreated for you. Take care not to violate copyright in the process.

As they said, you can look it up in the page source. Click CTRL+F and look for theme or stylesheet. If the name that appears is the company name, it almost for sure is a custom theme. If not it will show the theme name.
