The only two things you need are YouTube and a good Photoshop forum. Use YouTube for learning specific things you need to do and the forum for browsing and following along with answers that gurus give to others with questions. If you pay for Photoshop videos you're failing.

If you pay for Photoshop videos you're failing. What do you mean by this statement?

As soon as I bought an expensive book on Photoshop (there are a lot of them, choose whatever you want), I started learning. It helps me this way. If I pay money for something, I want them back)

sim4, tackling Photoshop at a professional level, while by far not impossible (millions, even an ex-military veteran like me already have done so) to master, is something that will take quite a big chunk of time, in many cases years.

But having said that, every journey starts with a step, and with the millions and millions of great tutorials available throughout the Net today, you should be able to get started producing quite nice looking design in relevantly short amount of time.

Just a search in Youtube for Photoshop tutorials alone will show you a whole bunch to choose from, and is what I would personally recommend, since a "live" presentation of how to achieve an objective is much faster than an conventional text/image based tutorial, and will shorten the learning curve tremendously.

If you're interested in some of the text/image based tutorials as well, here's where I started to learn what I know today:

      www.datutorials.com

Hope that helps and wish you the best of luck,

      Alex
