Dear Mighty Warriors,

I seek help from all experience warriors who have ever encounter the above problem.

Yesterday afternoon, my forex blog was still fine until late evening when I tried to log in again, the theme suddenly all disappeared. I tried to log in to the admin there was this message say

404 Not Found

The server can not find the requested page:
danielsg[dot]com/wp-admin/ (port 80)
Please forward this error screen to danielsg[dot]com's WebMaster.

I decided to remove and re-install the wordpress again (heart pain), hopefully that it will be fine. After I did that, it was fine for a while, I can log in to admin but after half an hour I try again to log in to admin same error appear.

I seek help for the above problem.

Thank you

Daniel

    Hi..

When this happens, have you tried FTP'ing into your account and checking if your files are still there?

If they are not there, then one of the following things might be happening on your server:

    1. You have another script running that is deleteing files
    2. Your hosting company is deleting files becuase you are using too much space (who is your host?)
    3. Most likely cnadidate is, that your root directory has a global read/write permission set so that anyone can delete or edit your files.

The way to fix this (the 3rd option), is FTP into your account, and then select all the files in your root directory (usually /public_html/) and CHMOD them to 644.

You do this by selecting all the php files (and then right clicking and selecting "file permission") and then type the numeric value of 644

This should fix the problem, if its the 3rd option.

But make sure its not option 1 or 2..

    Hope this helps

    Bruce
