Anyone Use Directory Press?

I'm looking to start another web directory and I ran across the Directory Press script. It looks nice and with it running off of WordPress I know it should be easy to manage. Just wondering if anyone has used it before and what they think about it. Anyone familiar with it?

    It is a bear to configure. I tried to set it up for a client. Advanced search did not work for us and their support was missing in action. They just ignored all requests and didn't answer including when their CEO was contacted on linkedin.

        I kind of fall in between but more towards the coding side. Basically I take themes and make them look how people want them to. I also figure out what plugins people need to do complicated tasks and configure them and add display of custom fields to posts.

    Ive been using directory press for awhile now, and havent really had any problems. What are the issues your having?

      Not having any issues, just looking for people that have used it before and wondering if it's worth the $79 to buy it.

      Very nice review. Thank you for posting it. Quick question, in your review you said you can capture up to 250 screen shots for free. What system does the script use? I am familiar with ShrinkTheWeb, WebSnapr, and Thumbshots. I'm thinking it's probably WebSnapr correct?

      Hi Matt,

      I saw your comments on directorypress and want to pick your brain on the directorypress theme.

      I just bought it and found their support information to be a little hard to work with.

      I have two questions:
      1. How do I put advertisements in my header and side bars, left and right, and the footer. I downloaded Max Banner Ads and they don't seem to know how to do it either.

      2. How do I change the header and put up my own logo? I have not found a way to do that yet!!!
