Need Help with s2 Member

I am trying to get my membership site up and running. I am using s2 member because I can't afford anything right now. I know I can make this work but they don't seem to have any straight-forward tutorials...I'm just a newb too and that doesn't help.

I need to have a static page that I can pitch my membership site on via video presentation and text, and give people the option to sign up

I need to have a members area where they can download as many mp3 files as I can upload. This is the main thing I'm selling on here and I want to offer

A section about the basics of internet marketing as a "free bonus"

I'm just confused on what all I need to do and how to edit the pages on my wordpress. I'll also need to know how to stuff like edit my homepage and change the header images I guess since I can't figure out how to do that.

Please, if anyone can direct me anywhere to some easy to follow tutorials on how to get this done, let me know!

Any personal input from people who use s2 would be awesome too

    Hi,

    I am currently using s2member as my member management plugin for wordpress.

    As far as wordpress page management goes there are many tutorials on youtube that walk you though setting up pages.

    s2member can be configured in many ways. you can setup paid membership as well as free membership. I use s2 member to allow my guests to purchase a product using paypal, and then return to my site at any time and login to either redownload the product or enter the members area help. My members area is just a few pages in wordpress that are set to "private" . You must be a member in the s2memebr section of my site to view them.

    With s2member, when you post pages, you will select what level a user needs to be to view that page, then post the page. Its part of the configuration.

    s2member really has a lot of features and configuration. maybe you can be more specific about what you are trying to accomplish? I know they just released a huge amount of videos on line to assist new users, maybe they can help you. You can find their page here: WebSharks, Inc. - YouTube

      I actually got the s2 part of my site fully functional, now I'm just trying to perfect a layout/theme
