I have been the only one working on my site but now I wish to have others work on specific pages from their own homes. What I would like to do is send them the Dreamweaver template and they add what I ask and send it back to me finished and I could check over their work and add it to the site. Here is the question, is there a way to do this without them having Dreamweaver on their computer? I kinda looked into Contribute but it mentioned that the user would connect to my server and that, I would think, would compromise my security if the person should ever want to mess up the site. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

I have worked for a site owner on and off for over a year and they use dreamweaver, which I hate.

I have worked on the site extensively, including cleaning up all of the pages on the site using Notepad++. I have added new pages that are similar to existing pages on the site, if there is a dreamweaver template that was used for the existing pages, I didn't know from anything about any "template" I just reproduced the format with the new content.

There is no need for dreamweaver to work on or create the site pages.

The same answer to RobinInTexas, you can use notepad++, emeditor pro to build sites. I suggest you shoudn't use dreamweaver to develop big website because it can output unexpected codes when we're making site.

Dreamweaver is not necessary for a template to be edited. I use Notepad most of the time to do the coding and stuff even when its a template so I dont think you would face such a big problem..

Hey, I mainly use Notepad++ and find it much better. It's free, also.

I am comfortable using both, but if I really need to choose between the two, I am choosing Notepad++. One because it is free and two it doesn't leave a mess behind.
