Hi Guys,

I've just got a quick favour to ask.

Could you just visit

and let me know if the site loads up quickly for you or if it takes its time?

It loads quite slow on my machine but my machine is running slow. I can't figure out if its the site or my computer.

You know that it loads slowly because it has a low of Javascript built into it.
Other than that, I like the way it looks.

The video plays jerky... you might upload it to a CDN.

SIte is loading slow. You can test yourself e.g. at

WebPagetest - Website Performance and Optimization Test

http://reallycoolwebsites.co.uk/petc...irstFrame1.png is 1.6MBytes... way too large. Use an optimized jpg instead.

http://petcheckers.co.uk/wp-content/...4/01/Milo1.png is 844KByte... use an optimized jpg instead.

http://petcheckers.co.uk/wp-content/...-Facebook1.png is 425,9KByte.

Time To First Byte is 6.21 seconds... after 6.21 seconds all other files are getting loaded. You need to fix this!

There is a lot more to optimize... but this would take some time to analyze and fix.

The whole site is 9.3MByte... you can expect a very high bounce rate!

Oh, and the Petcheckers-Video-Slide.mp4 is getting loaded several times...

Just by hosting the video in the home page slider and all the other slider images in Amazon S£ has sped the whole site up loads!

Its loading very slow. Its not good for SEO. you should optimize your website for speed.
1. Use less images on Home page.
2. DeActivate unnecessary plugins.
3. Create a sprite for small images to reduce http requests. Each image requires a http request. If you combine images into one sprite, image will download in single request and web page load speed will reduce.

It took 9 seconds but that is not bad depending on what you are loading up to to display.

More stuff sometimes means more time.
