Hey Everyone,

Could anyone give me an honest review of the website design of my site please?
It is the website in my signature.

I wanted to keep it simple. I am worried that it may be too bland though. Let me know what you think. Thanks ahead of time. : D

This Wordpress theme is very common and simple, do you want to check that Wordpress theme or your blog?

Just the theme. The design of it. I have the columns magazine style theme but don't use it because it tends to be slower. Do you think the common and simple design can drive people away?

This is a link to the live preview of the Columns Magazine Style Premium theme I have but am not using http://themeforest.net/item/columns-...review/5419139

Drive people away? No. The home page of Google has a very simple design. Your theme is responsive. But instead of 5 posts on the home page, why not make it 10 so that the empty space below the posts should be filled up?

I LOVE the simple, clean and readable layout with white background (good web design). It draws people to the images and content and not all over the place. People are overwhelmed by too much info so your site's look will calm them down. The popup is well-timed too. There's a blank space in the sidebar -- am I the only one seeing this? I think the logo text could be thicker though.

Thanks for the responses. It is much appreciated : D. Good idea about the moving to 5 to ten. I just had the 5 so it would load quicker, but it shouldn't make much of a difference moving to ten and it will help with the look.

Great simplistic design, I would say.
If you're worried about the loading time and would rather stick to five posts though, I will suggest reducing the length of your recent posts and popular posts. I think having 10 posts could be an initial overload

I think it looks great. Crisp and clear. Easy to read and easy on the eyes.

One suggestion, maybe move up your social buttons on your posts, they seem to get a little lost. Could help to get more shares. Just a thought.

If your concerned about load time, you might want to give some thought to your images. Quite large in size and file size. Actually kind of over power the content. Course my opinion.

Plus the images are linked to the actual picture, no real need for that. Think wordpress does that on it's own.

Yeah I've thought of making the images smaller. I will consider it in the future. I do not know how the linkage works. I have a CDN so hopefully that helps a little.

I invested in ultimate social deux and have the floater so hopefully that will help. Asked them in the forums about making it more responsive so it won't look cover up the page on mobile.

Befree2, if you are referring to the potential white space on the top of the sidebar then that is because the ad was slow loading or you have ad blocker. I decreased the size of the recent posts and popular posts while increasing the amount of shown post excerpts on the home page in order to get rid of the white space at the bottom.
