Hi Has anyone used Adbeat by Mike Colella, all looks good from the outside, but how effective is it!

It is not cheap, however if it delivers what it claims then money well spent!

If anyone can offer a review or just a little insight it would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

I listened in on the recent webinar with him... he sounds like a pretty smart guy. Knows the game... Product seems to give lot of competitive advantages, should you spend the money on it?? Thats up to you and how you plan to use it.

I use it a lot and so do my campaign managers, it's a great tool for affiliates and offer owners WHO BUY TRAFFIC.

That's the reason most people don't make money with competitive research tools, they expect to copy and past some ads, spend $100, and if they don't make money they are done.

Testing and optimizing traffic sources is hard work, but when you have winning ad copies, creatives, landers and offers to look at, a majority of the work has been done for you.

So if you buy or are going to buy traffic and really work at it, adbeat is a great tool to have at your disposal.

Where I see most people making mistakes is trying to copy everything. If you see an ad for a bizop on Pulse360 that seems to be killing it, the moron thing to do is try and copy it exactly and run it on Pulse360, you can't compete with the budget and payout that person is getting unless you are a top affiliate or merchant, and even then eventually you have a break even situation where either one party backs down or you have one willing to lose money everyday until the other backs down.

The smart thing to do is take all that winning information and bring it to other traffic sources.

I unconditionally recommend WRW or Adbeat to anyone who can calculate cpm, cpc, epc, and roi without a web based calculator tool AND is planning on "Buying Traffic".
      • If you can- Buy it, no questions, the probability of you making profit before you burn through your budget just doubled by using the tool. congratulations.
      • If you can't calculate campaign stats- i'm not knocking you, the fact is that your money would be better spent on a stackthatmoney.com membership. You can learn everything you need to know before burning your nest egg / budget. Step 1- Get your bearings from being around guys who buy traffic all day. Step 2- Buy the tool armed with perspective and real insight to make money.

Hire a copy writer for original content, test and tweak your campaigns. If you use the same content everyone else uses it is much less effective. Good original content that pulls is the key ;-)

What is it with everyone and copywriters in this forum? Personally I think a copywriter is one of the worst expenses you can make in advertising.

I've never hired a copywriter, all the winning copy you could ever need is all out there for you already, minor tweaks you can make yourself to working copy make all the difference, and sometimes they don't, either way its free.

You want to use exactly the copy and creatives the major players are using, then you can test improvements.

No one I know has ever used a copywriter for anything and yet make millions a year. Don't reinvent the wheel, and certainly don't pay to reinvent the wheel, every available dollar should be going to traffic, the end.

I agree with Rob you will still have to do work testing ads etc. I used the tool and made money...simple put if you have made money online with ppc you know that this tool will save you hours of time doing research. It will show you what networks allow which products. If you have no clue how to make money this will not give you the magic answer.

Adbeat is a killer tool and I get to see it demonstrated at LeadsCon this year. My jaw sank to the floor as the data came in about my own campaigns. If you are a lazy marketer, AdBeat is still not going to be your ace in the hole because the competition has you beat in more ways that one. With Adwords you can copy your competitions ad all day long but if they have been there for 3 months spending 5k a day on their top keywords, don't expect to start bidding their average CPC of .30 and strike gold. You will not beat them that way as you have zero history with Google there with that keyword, ad, etc. Chances are you will be paying $1.30 and spending 4x as much to get their volume. Why not write your own adcopy and beat them with a better CPC! This is your ace in the hole vs. having two ads exactly alike on the same keyword.

This being said, Adbeat is a credible too that can provide even more incredible insight to your next advertising venture...

      Good luck hiding...

How does AdBeat compare to, say, PPC Bully?

        Also:

Do you think buying AdBeat for 1 year up front is worth it
for access to the Forum and Affiliate training?

I am not new to PPC but I've never
        had a winning campaign.

        Thanks,

I am a member of the Adbeat, its an awesome tool, Mike is a sharp guy however, the training wasn't as much as I had hoped (there is 9 webinars I think). Its definitely a great tool to have in the arsenal. He hasn't had any new training since the end of June, but he has great customer service and has added many new networks & features.

All and all I think it was worth the money I spent on it.

Mike the creator from Ad beat is a SUPER smart guy. I think he actually worked at Intel, but I might be confusing him with someone else. Ad beat is a great service, especially if your in large verticals. It's not the best fit for everyone but it's very solid for most affiliates. If you can afford it, it's worth looking into, but I know it's out of the budget for a lot of folks. Mike really knows his stuff and not only can talk to the talk but walk the walk.

The thing with most spy tools is knowing how to use them effectively. Sure you can straight clone what you see, but many times you're better of using the competitive data for modeling instead of straight cloning.

Personally I have gotten the best education by studying what other marketers are actually doing (instead of what they're saying) and trying to figure out the why and the how behind what I see.

I've discovered all types of cool stuff from wordpress plug-ins I've never heard of to "real" tricks. I remember learning 1 method awhile back from some affiliate who was able to undercut a product owner on his own product in his ppc campaign..lol

            Much love,
            Daniel D.

It seems to be pretty expensive for beginners or intermediates.
Don't know if it has some inside upsells, but only counting the $1,500/year membership to be paid almost upfront to be added to standard paid traffic methods (testing different networks + the budget to have ready to go in your wallet to get started with paid ads), you'll initially need a bunch of money.
I attended Mike's webinar, and he seems to really know his stuff, Adbeat has a lot of very useful features, so I think that if you have the money it surely worth a try.

I've been getting emails lately from Mike. I do not have AdBeat. Either he is making updates or pushing hard for more sales...

Either way...is everyone who purchased it still satisfied? And can you give me one thing you like about it, one thing you don't like about it and your averaged monthly adspend ROI you get with AdBeat?

    Hey Alex,

Yes there are other services that are avaliable for free. However they won't give you all of the data that adbeat does. Check out follow.net, it acutally integrates with AdBeat and you can see some high level data that they provide. If you want more data you'll still have to purchase AdBeat. But follow.net is nice because it's free, super fast to use and it also gives you data on several different display advertising vendors + other verticals like seo, sem, contextual & social.

Yes, check out follow.net, it shows you all of the display advertising networks and top creatives each website is using. It also shows you advertising data for contextual and sem.

I am dubious about spending the money for this as I have spent quite a lot this month on these sort of ad oriented websites and I feel spending $99 dollars a month if you have that to spend and want to give that to someone that can stop your account in an instant if you don't play there game that's up to yourself BUT I Wouldn't
