Prosper202 is the best...??

Hi guys,

I am just adding CPA to our increasing Im business base and have been told by some here that Prosper202 is the "creme dela creme" of tracking tools for PPC CPA offers.

I want to set up our CPA business correctly before we race out and start throwing money at testing various offers.

Can anyone recommend or suggest any other alternative better than Prosper202?

Oh..BTW. Where does everyone host there Prosper202?

What issues do you need to be aware of when chossiing hosting for Prosper202? Do you need a VPS or can you attach it to your Hostgator account without any issue?

    Hi Anton,

    Prosper202 is the best free tracking tool that I know about for tracking your campaigns.

    You can use CPVlab for more advanced tracking and split testing, but that depend on your budget and your needs. CPVlab is paid software, better to start with prosper202 if you are just starting out.

    I advice you to get your own VPS to host Prosper202, what you need to run Prosper202 is:

    Php 5.0 or greater
    MySQL 4.0 or greater
    The mod_rewrite Apache module

    I do host on my own server, But I have been using VPS from RisingNet and they are awesome.

    Hi Anton, I've tried both. Personally I prefer CPVLab as its easier to use and has great functionalities when it comes to split testing landing pages with multiple offers and options etc. Hosting for P202 would depend on how much traffic you are pushing to the offers. If you are pushing short bursts of high traffic, go for VPS through BeyondHosting or KnownHost which I use as you need a responsive server. I'm using the hybrid option, also added nginx reverse proxy to give it a boost as well.

    I set up a new domain on a shared hosting account for my T202 installation.

    Super simple to do if you know your way around cPanel and can create a new database and user.

    Did it all on Hostgator.

    IMO p202 is by far the best free tracking solution available.

    For hosting it really depends on how much traffic you have, I've played with it on a hostgator account before and if you are just starting out and don't have too much traffic it works, you just need to open a ticket with there support to enable a function to allow it to wok properly (I don't remember what it was off the top of my head)

      I've had p202 for a while, but the best one would to get a a programmer to get your own tracking platform. (but it would get costly)

      Also run traffic with bevo. i find it has lighting fast redirect, split testing, offer rotation and much more with the new platform.

      So I think p202 is great free tracking solution available.(youll need good hosting if you run volume)
      And Bevomedia for testing new offers with high volume traffic.

      I mean if you just don't want to worry about installing a script and bevo is also another free way to go.

    P202 is free which is why most people use it. CPALabs offers far more features but for a price. If you're starting out P202 should suffice.

    You need a domain and hosting for P202. Beyond Hosting offers a Prosper202 package for hosting. You can also use Hostgator which is the hosting company of choice for most people.
