Using PPC - My 1st Profits

I had tried using PPC with Google Adwords a few years ago, and only succeeded in losing a couple hundred dollars faster than I ever lost money in my entire life.

The next 2 or 3 years I used different traffic methods, some of which worked well, and others not so well.

A couple of months ago, I decided to try PPC again, but this time with 7search.

What is working for me right now is paying for keywords that cost between 5 cents and 8 cents which are for items found on Amazon.com that are priced at $200 or higher. I then direct the traffic from those keywords to my affiliate links on Amazon for those products which cost $200 or more.

What I have always liked about Amazon, is that people will enter through your affiliate links, then start looking around and even if they don`t buy the specific items you are promoting, they will often buy something else not even remotely related to what you are promoting. You will still get the commission even if they buy a $300 baby crib, when you were actually promoting diamond necklaces.

This is the first month I will be making a ROI on my PPC efforts. Just yesterday for example, I spent $2.73 on clicks and sold some high ticket items from Amazon that give me a commission of $26.58

Not a bad ROI

Now I just need to keep tweaking and testing to make that ROI even better and more consistent, since I still have days where I lose a little bit of money. But for this month, for the first time ever, I will be earning more with PPC than I am spending. And that makes me smile

Maybe later, I will try my luck again with Google Adwords, but I am still a little shell-shocked from my previous experience there. For now, I will continue learning PPC by using 7search.

If Amazon find out they will confiscate your earnings I'm afraid.

Amazon don't allow you to use PPC to promote products with affiliate links. The way around this is to create your own site/landing pages and send PPC traffic to your site. That's ok as far as I know, but sending paid traffic straight to Amazon is against their terms.

If I used PPC to go directly to my raw affiliate Amazon links, yes, perhaps they would.

But, that is not what I am doing.

Did I say I was doing that ?

Or perhaps I am sending the traffic to a blog with Amazon products, a landing page, a buffer page, or something else entirely ?

Congratulations, that's wonderful news. Many people are intimidated by PPC because they can't or are afraid to risk money, this is very understandable but it limits your power to scale your success.

People become experts by doing and that's exactly what builds successful businesses. Keep up the good work.

    Wishing you much more success,

Adwords won't allow it that's for sure. I'm surprised they allow anyone to advertise anything what with their strict (understatement) rules and it doesn't help that they outsource their support to bloody Indians.

If you can find a way to block out the "bad" traffic you should do well with 7Search. I really wish 7Search would do more as they should be the ones to eliminate the bad traffic not the advertiser.

The ROI you have there is excellent.

    Congratulations on your efforts.

I personally find Amazon to be too measly with their commissions. I would suggest you scale your efforts to other networks like CJ for physical products.
