Has anyone tried the latest AI Assistant Bot?

Claude.

Was developed by scientists that left OpenAI (the creators of ChatGPT).

Google is heavily invested in it.

I like it. I think it's better than ChatGPT or Bard.

You can try it in the US and UK right now.

When I saw your title I thought that something
has happened to Warrior Claude or that you
    were giving him a shout-out.

Since the last time I posted with you about A.I.
I have used Leonardo and another one to create
artworks, and the art they produce is AMAZING!

I have not tried Claude.ai, but I will do it ASAP
and let you know my experience, although I am
    partial to ChatGPT.

If former ChatGPT engineers developed Claude,
there probably isn't that much difference. And I
don't understand why they didn't have to sign
    NDAs and non-compete contracts.

    @max5ty

I have registered an account and asked Claude
a few questions just to get a feel for it.

I asked it if it wrote content and it said it did not
and it gave me some tips on how I could write
content myself. Then I prompted it to write about
Artificial Intelligence and it did a good job, so it
    does write content.

It is good at making various lists and providing
    suggestions.

It answered all other questions in a satisfactory
manner and I think that it is pretty smooth. I could
definitely use it to help me develop some things.

I feel that it is comparable to ChatGPT, but I think
that I will always prefer ChatGPT because I have
been using it for seven months and I just feel like
I have a connection with it.

I still think the whole A.I. thing is so fascinating,
it amazes me every time I use it.

Thank you for letting us know about this one.

    @Jason Kanigan -

According to those that built this, it's supposed to be more conversational than ChatGPT...I agree with that.

Sometimes these AI things go a little wacky. I'm sure in time they will tweak them to get better.

    @ Monetize -

Not sure why it said it didn't write articles. I used it to write 2 articles to see how good it was. I thought it did a pretty decent job. As I told Jason, it seemed to be more conversational than the others.

So I kind of cheated and had Claude write the articles, then I ran them through GPT and asked it to critique the article. Overall it said the article was well written...I guess these AI things like each others work.

Since there are a million prompts out there, I discovered I could simply ask the AI Assistant what prompt would be best for me to use if I wanted x, y, or z. It took a couple of times but it finally gave me an excellent prompt.

Another thing I discovered is after it writes an article and I tweak it, I then ask it if it has any other ideas to make the article better. I do this about 3 or 4 times and it seems to expand on the article each time. Some of the suggestions I ask it to include and others I don't ask it to include.

I agree it's fascinating. I really don't have the need to write an article anymore...mostly just been messing around to see how good these AI things are. I really like them for coding purposes mainly. I actually created a Chrome extension just using AI. Thought that was pretty nifty.

That's great about your Chrome extension.

I asked Claude if it "wrote content" and it said it didn't.
ChatGPT has told me it didn't do certain things also.
They might not be aware of all their own capabilities.

Once I asked ChatGPT to write a biography about a
certain person and it told me that would be unethical.
So then I told it to write an article about the person's
childhood, then went through all the phases of their
life, and after about 25 prompts, I had my biography.

When it refuses to do things, it can be overridden
    by other prompts.

I also ask if it wants to add anything that I did not
think of and it usually gives me more.

Dang it Monetize, I thought I was a genius asking it to do that...

      maybe we're both geniuses.

In the big scheme of schemes and things of things and all that...

I don't have anything against these chat things because I keep it all in perspective.

They're really just search engines that use all the information that was fed into them and then output the best answer that matches your prompt. There's nothing super intelligent about them or supernatural or anything. They're LLMs. Instead of asking google and getting pages and pages of links, you get one answer that it thinks is the best based on whatever you asked.

Saw on Github you can actually create your own GPT thingy. All the code is there. All you have to do is feed it the info you want. Maybe I could create a thing just for copywriters? I could input thousands of sales letters into it and then...

naw, I don't have the time or desire for all that.

Artificial will never be as good as human beings (those of us with excellent English, that is). Personally, I would never use AI.

Although around this neck of the woods, AI gets talked about mostly for writing...

      it's really only one aspect.

The overwhelming majority of people aren't out there using it for articles etc.

It can be used for coding...and I must say it is a time saver.

You can ask it a million other things and it will give you an answer.

So, basically, it's got a million other uses that have nothing to do with writing.

If you use a search engine, such as Google, you
are already using artificial intelligence. A.I. is all
      around us.

I have been using ChatGPT since it became
available to the general public, and while I don't
think it is smarter than the human brain, I am
aware that it has a broader knowledge base that
includes 99.9% of things which are knowable.

Most people's brains cannot retain the contents
of the encyclopedia, an infinite number of books,
the dictionary, thesaurus, Wikipedia, all of human
history, most everything that's on the internet, and
all the other places where knowledge is stored.

It doesn't matter to me whether anyone uses A.I.
or not, but why put yourself at a disadvantage.

It's kind of like telling your spouse that you're not
going to ride in the car, you'd rather walk and you
will meet them whenever you get there.

I, Claude 2, had been using it for a while here in Italy, but since yesterday, Anthropoc has introduced phone number verification only for the USA and the UK, and systems like free SMS from abroad no longer work. Does anyone know when it will be released in other countries as well? It's a shame; I was really enjoying it, and it provided excellent solutions to various problems.
