Write valuable, relevant, and shareable content.
I'd like to emphasize on valuable and relevant content. A lot of beginners post content which are just completely irrelevant. This will drive your readers away. Avoid this.

Share on social media
It's obvious, right? After all, we spend pretty much almost the entire day on social media so share on all your socmed platforns.

Collaborate with influencers
Where possible, partner with the right influencers in your industry to gain exposure.

Engage in community forums
Engage with the members here on WF. Everyone here has valuable insights you can leverage to build your brand/business. Just make sure to read the rules before posting to avoid getting banned.

    Here's a tip that worked nicely for me over the years.

    Get links also from sites that seem "too small to matter" today. As they grow and mature, some of these links will grow extremely powerful - and bring in a lot more traffic than you could imagine.

    If I could turn the clock back, I'd have done this more actively than I did 20 years ago

    I think for link building we should focus on quality not on the quantity. For most of the time people think that the more backlinks they will build more the ranking they will get but its not the case. For link building quality matters and and just like you say the content of the link matters too. And the quality and content optimized link will get you the most of the value then the most of the spammy links.
    So focus on creating quality backlinks.

    It feels like these should be expanded on further, everyone says to write quality content but they never explain what quality content is. Nobody writes poor content intentionally, they just don't know what good content is.

    I want to add one thing that if you are creating backlinks then plz spread the links. Do not give links to same page again & again and use anchor text properly. Use long-tail keywords in anchor text, avoid your main keywords, and try to use naked URLs as much as possible. your top 5 backlinks must be naked URL. This will help you avoid Google updates.
