If a reasonable definition of internet marketing is:
"... the art of advertising and marketing goods and services through the Internet."
Then, don't the same marketing principles apply? For example, Kotler wrote a book some time ago about the 4 Ps of marketing -- product, placement (or distribution), pricing and promotion. Since then, there have been a few Ps added, like positioning for example.
But, basically we all deal with the same stuff --...
Content continues to drive results both in terms of attracting interested readers as well as convert them to buyers. The more creative we are with our content the greater the likelihood of success -- however you define that outcome.
But, some in today's internet marketing world (much like the Ad Men of the 50s and 60s) assume that the term "creative" means they can do whatever it takes to get your and my money. That is not true, especially in the long-term.
