Work on English weekly - 1

I hope weekly, anyway. Of course correct use of the language is not the decisive factor in being a good marketer, but it helps. I'm a teacher of English as a foreign language to adults, and I spend a lot of time convincing my students that it's more important to communicate well than to get everything right - the French in particular are so inhibited by fear of mistakes.
Nevertheless, without being pedantic, it doesn't do any harm to use any language more correctly, particularly if the slips are making communication more difficult. So here's a simple one for the first time, very common, doesn't make communication difficult as such, but...
COMPLIMENT / COMPLEMENT
"That shade of blue really suits you."
"Why, thank you, what a lovely compliment."
"I'd like to compliment you on that brilliant speech."
BUT
The text complements the graphs very well.
Nutitional complements may add elements that are lacking in natural foods, e.g., mineral traces.
