This may sound a bit off topic for a forum that is largely focused on marketing. However, romantic relationships and business relationships are bridged in many ways. Hopefully you'll see the similarities as I reflect on what I learned from a relationship coach.

Mama E, also known as Estella Keese, is an up and coming relationship coach with a growing Internet following. Her years of experience in helping singles and couples heal their relationships is moving from the real world to the virtual world. Her mission is coaching and teaching how to navigate the sometimes rocky path we travel in hopes of creating winning relationships.

Mama E has found that the game of football, NFL style football that is, has a lot in common with problems that normally require relationship advice. She uses football jargon to illustrate problems in relationships. For example, in a relationship, who plays the role of quarterback?

Most people initially respond the male, however is it possible this might be a role both partners could play almost interchangeably? And what about the role of the coach. Which partner is best suited to fit the position of a coach? In other words, calling in plays, deciding when it's time to punt instead of running the ball for a few extra gains?

Mama E has created a seminar series called, First and Goal Focus Groups and is packing the house with men and women. She's been doing couples workshops for more than 10 years and says she has never seen men become engaged in the process as quickly in any other format.

I've observed a session and wrote down a legal pad full of ideas that made sense for my goal of building relationships through my Twitter account. You might want to take a look for yourself, if you'd like to pick up a few different approaches to relationship building...for business or pleasure

Ciao,
Alex
