Our paths never show the road we want,
Never revealing things that do more than taunt.
Our paths never hold more than a days journey at sight,
Never revealing more than experience teaches us through love and blight.
Our paths never condemn our wayward journeys, contrary to our road,
Never revealing, standing guard as that that chooses to withold

But it is a simplistic matter to become lost in reading our paths
An aging astronomy bound beyond more than myths and graphs
It is a draining matter that we wrap around our mind
A biting theory that our logic can never find
It is a sour-sweet release that both destroy and entice
A cripling chance as constant as the gambler's dice

A simple choice made isn't always so easy to fix,
A step more than just doing what you do for kicks.
But a deliberate effort or attempt at perfection,
But taking the step into the direction.
More than just thought but a thought in motion
More than just understanding but unveiling the connotation

Sometimes, in search of ourselves, we lose who we are
It's easy to have a wreck when your driving every other car
Sometimes the want to walk another path leads to forsaking our own
Abandoning the path of the light for another unknown

Not dark or evil as one would believe
Merely foreign, one that self didn't conceive.
An image, and idol, and idea to achieve
A boundary untainable, a mark one cannont recieve
Not by limitation or the lack of leadership or the loyal follower
But by a natural border of individuality, that holds one from another

Some find, in search of the meaning of their path, an end
The japanese tale for the lack of a message one should not send
At that time begins to hold meaning on the death bed
As lifes wants began to swirl around in your head
Eyes glazed over from the encounter with death
On the nape of your neck, the strong presence of Death's breath

Meaning,in the bitter end, it's better to walk than search the path
Popintless to be caught in fear rather than suffer life's aftermath
Showing, in the truth of it all, that it's better to live and learn that to live to learn
The unseen pain to it being the lack to stop to understand, to discern

Lives lived in the search of life have ended in death,
But live lived, find themselves leaving an eternity beyond their last breath
