Ten days ago, one of my subscribers informed me about a broken link in an eBook I gave away from free.

In it, I recommended a product and used my affiliate link. She thought the product looked good and wanted to buy. And then, she couldn't.

I investigated the issue and discovered that the product creator had moved it from it's original position. When help desk got back to me, they told me I should use a completely new affiliate link.

No problem - for new links that is.

But my eBook is already out there - promoting an no-longer existing affiliate link.

And what about all the articles, I've written and submitted to article directories? They also point to an expired URL in the resource box.

Normally this would mean a loss of potential income as well as a lot of extra work, changing the pdf-file for the eBook, changing the resource boxes and waiting for the articles to be approved again.

At least, this is how it normally is.

Luckily for me, I used my own URL shortener, so I can just enter the admin area and change one link, and I'm fine.

How about you? What will your situation be like, when an affiliate link is changed?

If you haven't given it a thought, you should now to avoid loss of income.

If you're using bit.ly or tinyurl, you cannot change your link afterwards. Not to my knowledge, at least, and it's not as if I haven't made desperate tries - in vain - earlier.

You need your own URL shortener on your own domain to do that.

But how to make your own URL shortener?

A few years ago, you would need to learn PHP and MySQL programming to make your own URL shortener. I created one, and it took lots of work, and hours of testing, and I never got around to making statistics available.

So you can probably imagine my surprise when I accidently stumbled on a method to create my own URL shortener in a few minutes, without the use of ANY programming? Just in three simple steps, basically clicking the mouse and writing a few words?

I'm sharing this method with you in my new blueprint:
