Most people's PayPal accounts can be accessed with only one password.

Then, even if there is nothing in the account, a hacker can withdraw money from your bank account into PayPal.

If you think that's worrying, there is a way that you can protect your PayPal account with their security key system. But they don't tell you about it!

    you can do this, or you can bank with a company with good freud protection. i've been with wells fargo for several years, and three times i've had an unknown charge show up on my account, every time they had the money refunded and the problem was immediately settled.

    You're right that the bank will probably repay any stolen money. But in the meantime PayPal will close your account while the fraud issue is being resolved. This could have a big effect on your income. Better to avoid the problem in the first place in my opinion!
