An Ass Backwards Approach To List Building

Dear Friends, real and imaginary,

I have had an 'epiphany.' Or maybe it's a delusional psychotic breakdown. I'm not sure. I'm just doing what the voices inside my head tell me to do.

My overly analytical anal-retentive, obsessive compulsive personality disorders force me to follow a strict regimen of my business plan. However, the 'mad scientist' in me always wants to 'experiment' with new things.

So I'm finding myself getting less sleep so that I can perform my evil, wicked and dastardly little 'investigations' outside of my normal working day. I believe this has led to psychotic break and now I am about to attempt a totally ass backwards approach to list building.

We marketers pay a lot of lip service to things like 'start with the end in mind' and "The Law of Attraction" (isn't it nice how we have all but forgotten about The Law of Reciprocity thanks to "The Secret"? hmpff... but I digress...)

So in my little diabolical plan, I am going to go about my list building project in an Ass Backwards motion so that I can start with the end in mind, and I am going to use the Law Of Reciprocity to do it.

First question... well, what is the end goal of having a list?

Is it to pitch affiliate products to day after day?

Is it to covet JV projects and achieve guru status?

Hell, maybe I just want a bunch of people to visit my blog to listen to my rants and ramblings and possibly feel like I'm making someone laugh or touching someone's life in some way because I think that will get me into Heaven.

Or maybe my psychotic break caused by lack of sleep has made me regress back to early childhood and now I just want to be able to say to the big list guys... na na na na.. my list is bigger than your list...

But again, I digress. For this to work, I'll need to GIVE away a boat load of works that have been over a year in production.
