The Obligatory First Post

To me, next to updating, the hardest parts of blogging is the first post.
I never know if I should...
...tell about myself.
...give some killer content.
...tell people what to expect.
...etc.
I guess it doesn't really matter though because by the time traffic starts pooring in, there should already be more content.
With that said, this is my obligatory first post.

Hi Garrie,
You opened up the lines of communication from the beginning and actually accomplished and covered all of those obligatory first post bases:
*...tell about myself-You let the reader in on your views on blogging plus signed off with a link to your site so the reader can find out more.
*...give some killer content-You revealed what the hardest part about blogging is and gave some good ideas for others to use with their blogs too.
*...tell people what to expect-You set the tone early that no matter which way it goes, it doesn't really matter because there will be more content by the time traffic starts pouring in to the blog.
So that tells people there will be more content to come and also to expect more readers to interact.
