How To Get A Green Thumb
So, you decided you wanted to start your own garden, but you don’t exactly have a green thumb. You tried before with no luck, but you enjoyed it so much that you want to give it another try.
Well, here is some help and advice for those of you who want to turn your brown thumb into a green thumb.
The first thing that needs to happen is to find the proper flowers or plants for you to plant. Look for healthy plants. You don’t want to jump right off into planting with something like roses because that takes a lot of effort.
Start with a plant that looks healthy. Don’t pick a plant that has holes or looks like it has been sitting there for awhile, choose healthy plants that look like they have been taken care of and won’t take a lot of effort.
Use some good soil instead of dirt. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking using dirt is ok for plants and flowers, but sometimes it isn’t.
Dirt can be dense and compacted which can hurt the growth of the plant or flower. Your best bet is to use some kind of potting soil.

Potting soil can provide the proper balance of water, air and pH to allow a plant’s roots to grow deep and healthy.
