My First WF Blog Post!

My name is Ericka. By day, I am a Self Sufficiency Programs Facilitator. Basically, I have the opportunity to share with men and mostly women ways that they can crawl out of poverty and become self sufficient. This is very challenging because the stubborn mental mindset of many people in generational poverty and the limited resources available to those in absolute poverty.

I was blessed with this position partially because of my own background. I spent many years in poverty, alcoholism, in violent relationships, crime, homelessness, and desperation. I was able to achieve self sufficiency finally through internet marketing, but even that took a while.

I had to get sober, find housing, learn to tell myself and others the truth, show up, be an employee, and make amends. I didn't have to change one thing. I had to change EVERYTHING. It was slow and painful.

So, now I am looking for a simple way to show the newest newbies how to dip their toes in the water of IM. Oh...and I want hem to have a tiny bit of immediate success.

So that's what I'm doing here on the forum. I LOVE IM. The possibilities are endless. I want to find more to share with the women that I work with. IM is empowering.
