Guest Posting and Google's AuthorRank

Guest posting has become very popular since Google started saying that they were going to pay more attention to blogs. They put a little more emphasis on blogs because they wanted to move people away from link farms, and because blogs are often updated (which is something else that Google likes). Google however are aware that low quality articles are just as likely on blogs as they are on article websites, which is why they created the AuthorRank system...

Use a Sitemap to Improve Rankings

If you have website a sitemap is not likely to be a new concept to you. It is simply an extra page added to your web site that links to all other pages used to let a search engine know which pages are most relevant and important. The sitemap tells the search engine exactly where all of the pages are and identifies them so they can be crawled and indexed appropriately.

Keywords are dead? Long live keywords

While it is an interesting subject, raised in numerous articles, it is worth questioning what we mean by ‘keywords are dead’, and whether it really just refers to the demise of standard SEO practices. After all it’s easy to get carried away with dramatic phrases which can unfortunately get out of hand and be interpreted in the wrong way.
