Website Tips for Internet Marketers
There are many ways to make money online. You can do it with your own website or without your own website. The success you achieve with either of those ways will depend on both your level of experience and your commitment to achievement. Here are a few website tips from my perspective.
I have always believed in having your own domain and website and regardless of what other Internet income programs you may be involved with, you use your website as your base of operations.
Think about it: what is the one constant in everything you do online? It is YOU. Marketing programs, products and companies come and go. Marketing methods keep shifting and changing. Customers are transient; you may see them again, or you may not.
But you are the one constant in your Internet Marketing universe around which everything else revolves.
So, it just makes plain sense to me to have your own website. That way, you can make any changes you want, any time you need to. Nobody dictates what you can or can’t do but you. Drop old programs, add new ones, shift your niche focus to attract that hot new market that is opening up, or whatever. You are in control.
If you are going to have a website, then it also makes sense to make it presentable. Your goal is to make your presence known online as a professional, knowledgeable, dependable marketer and service provider.
Here are a few website tips:
~ Choose a domain name that closely relates to or represents your marketing focus or market niche.
~ Choose a website theme (style of website) that is professional in appearance, visually appealing and easy for your visitors to navigate.
~ Avoid clutter and make your content the focal point of each page; relate it either to your market niche in general or to the topic on the particular page.
~ Include RSS feed and Social Media buttons or elements.
~ Include “About”, “Contact” and “Privacy Policy” pages.
~ Last, but certainly not least, make sure your website and your web pages are optimized for the search engines.
When you market online using your own website as your base of operations, you set yourself up as a professional and if you present yourself well, you will become recognized as a serious Internet Marketer.
