5 List Building Tips for Beginners

You have heard it over and over again. But for some of us it just didn't register. Personally it took me over 3 years to jump into building my list. But once I started I went big time, finally realizing that its true the money’s in the list, and I want mine. Due to my inaction I do everything that I can to help anyone to build a list. I have 2 IM list's both centered around the List Building niche. But still so many Newbies out there still have not a clue how to get started in List Building.
Building a list should not be this intimidating...So take action now to start your list. Here are 5 great list building tips to get your list up and running!
5 Great Tips
- Decide upon your Niche. If you are smart you will pick a Niche that you enjoy and that there are several ways to monetize. That means there is 6 to 10 different ways that you can make money with your list.
- Prepare your Freebie or Giveaway. You will need something to entice your subscribers to join your list. You can use a good eBook, Video or Audio training series. Keep several options in mind. Make sure that the information that you are providing is current and that you have rights to it.
- Pick a good auto-responder. Do not use a FREE auto-responder. I will say it again....do not use a FREE auto-responder. I use Aweber, I have friends that use Get Response. There are others just don't go with a free version. You will never know if your email made it to the in-box of your subscriber.
- Prepare your Newsletter or Email series. It really depends upon your niche if you will need a newsletter or a series of emails. I use emails in all of my lists. So you need to sit down and make a minimum of 30 emails. Yes I know sounds daunting, but you can do it over three to five days. You need to start by building a relationship. Tell them about yourself, show your knowledge and experience with the niche. Provide good information mixed with good products that your list can use. Good Information + Trust = Sales.
- The Squeeze Page. You will need a squeeze page which acts together with your auto-responder to collect that email address of your subscribers. Which in turn starts the process of delivering emails to you new subscribers. The most important thing to remember about your squeeze page is simple is better.
Don't Worry! There are plenty of able body warriors right here on the forum that will be happy to build your squeeze page or write your auto-responder sequence. I outsource the majority of these functions.
