When doing computer work from home you have to be accurate and you have to work at a steady pace. Otherwise you find yourself re-doing things and never actually making money.

Here are a few common errors that kill computer work from home and drive people back out into the workplace.

1. There are people who still have a dial up Internet connection. If you live in an area where high-speed Internet is available you must make the switch right away.

You just can't afford to be waiting around for pages to load when you are doing computer work from home. The amount of time that you waste can cost you a tremendous amount of income over the course of a year.

If you don't live in an area where high-speed Internet is available you may want to consider purchasing an Internet card. Many companies such as AT&T and Sprint offer these where you can have Internet anywhere in the world that you have reception.

2. People who do Internet marketing such as affiliate programs make a big mistake when they don't build a mailing list. One of the easiest ways to make Money on the Internet today is to have a mailing list and send offers out to it.

Affiliate marketers mess up when they use the replicated website provided by affiliate programs. Most of these are sales pages that do not have a way for you to make changes to them. This means you can not add a sign-up form and build a mailing list and it's a mistake if you don't create your own website and do that.

3. Many people are not very adept at using a computer and really should start by taking some basic computer training. This would be helpful for anyone, but it is almost a necessity for people who do computer work from home.

At the very least you need to know how to work with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, sending and receiving e-mails, including attachments, uploading graphics, and possibly even basic HTML if you're going to get into selling products online.

This is a few tips you should consider if you're going to do computer work from home. The Internet offers tremendous training with all of the various blogs, videos, and other social media available to you online.

There is no reason for you to fumble around trying to make money working from home if you do not learn a few basic computer skills.
